Egypt: A change idiots can believe in

Maikel Nabil, 26, was taken from his home in Cairo by five military officers early on March 28 and charged with insulting the military establishment and “spreading false information,” New York-based Human Rights Watch (HRW) said.

I wonder how many of my Egyptian friends still believe the removal of Mubarak was anything but an imperial reshuffling of satraps.  I would presume that the number who still believe that Mubarak was the main obstacle preventing Egypt’s movement toward democracy and freedom are not necessarily unintelligent but presumably have been conditioned by the media outlets that are the tentacles in the service of the imperial propaganda.
